Energy efficient kitchen equipment is becoming even more important to caterers as time goes on. We are very aware that the refrigerator is one of the few pieces of equipment in the kitchen that uses energy 24/7, 365 days a year! As businesses experience increased costs for their gas and electricity, the search for energy-saving equipment has stepped up a gear. We created a green paper to find out more and you can download a copy for yourself. Want to know more? Email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0500 691122 for further information.
We see environmental management as an integral component of our overall business decision making. We strive to achieve environmental best practice in all of our manufacturing and supply operations. We are committed to developing and marketing products which have excellent environmental characteristics, and meet current best practice.
We are proud to be the first UK refrigeration manufacturer to obtain ISO 14001 the recognised international standard in Environmental Management Systems. Also approved to ISO 9001 quality management system standard for the design and manufacture of commercial refrigeration equipment and cold storage facilities. The approval covers installation, commissioning and supply of associated spare parts including customer support training.
Hydrocarbon is a naturally occurring refrigeration gas, the only commercial gas that is Zero Ozone Depleting and has minimal global warming potential. We offer this option on most products ranges at no extra cost.
Our cabinets are on the Government's Energy Technology List so benefit from the Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) Scheme governed by the Carbon Trust. They have been independently tested and meet their standards on energy efficiency.
We are the only commercial refrigeration manufacturer to use Helium Leak Detection. This can detect the very smallest gas leak which could not be found using traditional equipment. In addition, evaporator coils have two protective coatings called ‘double dipping’ to ensure even the very centre of the coil is protected from corrosion. These processes ensure the operating efficiency of our refrigeration systems. A system that loses 15% of its refrigerant charge through leakage will see a 50% drop in cooling capacity and 100% increase in energy consumption.
