Our Company

Our Values

We share our core values of Trust, Integrity, Shared Risk, Respect, and Simplicity with our parent company, ITW. But what do these actually mean in practice?

  • Trust: We trust that our teams will always work to the best of their ability and in the interests of the business.
  • Integrity: We operate to the highest ethical standards and with complete integrity in all of our interactions with our teams, our customers, and our suppliers. We accept nothing less.
  • Shared risk: As an innovative business, we take calculated risks as a team, giving everyone the confidence to try out new ideas without fear.
  • Respect: We treat everyone as we expect to be treated. We understand the critical importance of a diverse workforce in bringing fresh points of view, creativity, and innovation to our products.
  • Simplicity: We take pride in ensuring our focus is in the right place. Our guiding principle is 80/20, and this way of thinking means we know we’re working simply and effectively.

Ethics and Compliance

Embedded in our culture through our values is our commitment to maintaining high ethical standards. We are governed by the ITW Code of Conduct, which describes the standards of behaviour expected of ITW employees and is reviewed and updated annually. These same standards are applied to our supply chain through our Supplier Code of Conduct.

Anti-corruption

At Foster and Gamko, we have a zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption at all levels of our business. All team members undergo regular e-learning training to ensure our responsibilities as individuals and as a business are fully understood and reinforced. Our code of conduct confirms our commitment to full compliance with the UK Bribery Act, the FCPA, the OECD Convention, and the anti-corruption laws of all countries where we do business.

Cyber security

Our team undergoes annual cyber security training, ensuring that all employees are aware of the latest threats and how to protect our systems and your data.

The secrets of our success

ITW, a Fortune 500 company, is a world-leading manufacturer of specialised industrial equipment. Our continued success is founded upon ITW’s unique business model. This blends customer-back innovation with our 80/20 business process, all built on the central pillars of integrity, respect, trust, shared risk, and simplicity.

This tried and tested recipe has led ITW’s food equipment group to a turnover of $2.6 billion a year, managing a portfolio of over 1,500 patents across our diverse foodservice divisions.

Benefits to our customers

You directly benefit from this global backing. We leverage technologies developed across ITW (such as our +stayclear condenser), utilise strategic sourcing to control your costs, and draw on financial strength to offer services like 0% interest-free credit. You also benefit from a shared pool of award-winning engineers, sales, and service personnel.

ITW’s premium brands are sold and used in the most professional kitchens worldwide. Our refrigeration family includes Gamko, the experts in professional drinks cooling, and Traulsen, the commercial refrigeration manufacturer seen as the ‘Gold Standard’ in North American markets.
